Magic Bus

Miles has been talking a lot about The Bus. He can hear them a mile away and can spot them like he's got an extra set of eyes dedicated to the task.

But Miles has a secret: He's never actually been on a bus. Until now.

Here it is, the 72 University Express from Lake City to Downtown Seattle. In a just few seconds, Miles will be On The Bus for the very first time.

It took the bewildered lad a good ten minutes to figure out what was going on. The driver, the passengers, the seats, the strange moving contraption in which he found himself. Then, he put it together quite abruptly and declared to everyone on board, "Bus!"

If that wasn't enough excitement for one day, Miles and Daddy decided to catch a ride on Seattle's brand new streetcar, the South Lake Union Trolley (better known by its acronym, which cannot be printed in a family blog).

Miles enjoying the ride.

We were just one monorail shy of hitting the Seattle public transit trifecta. Oh well, we'll leave that for another day.
